Kelly Hearn

Psychotherapy and Sanity Practice

Kelly Hearn is a psychotherapist and co-founder of Examined Life, a collective of therapists. She offers individual and couple therapy at The Practice. She also leads Sanity Practice group workshops that put psychological theory into practical application incorporating movement, creativity, thematic discussion and interactive reflection.

Kelly spent the first two decades of her professional life in the left-brain world of finance. After completing an MBA at Columbia Business School in New York, she moved to London to help establish one US investment fund, and then another, in Europe. At some point along the way, Kelly turned her analytical focus away from spreadsheets and annual reports to the existential questions of everyday life. Kelly first pursued writing as a means for exploration and completed an MA in Creative Non-Fiction Writing at City University, London. She then trained in psychotherapy at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London. A registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), Kelly has wide experience working with individual, couple and corporate clients within the NHS, private practice and at The School of Life. An avid yogi and ‘sanity walker,’ Kelly takes a whole-body approach to mental health.
